How to join To join a class please check the current availability table (under Classes) and choose a class at a level that is most suitable for you. Once you have decided on a class please phone or e-mail me to enrol. |
Enrolment form So that you can gain the maximum benefit it is important that you join a class that is right for you. Before attending any classes I will ask you to complete an enrolment form. These forms are strictly confidential and are used purely to determine whether there may be any issues relevant to Pilates that need to be considered before your course starts. Whilst Pilates is generally considered to be a very safe form of exercise there are a few conditions for which it is best to get pre-approval from your GP or Physiotherapist before starting. If your situation changes in any way or at any time after you have completed your enrolment form then please do keep me updated. This way we can work together to ensure that you are following a safe and effective programme. |
Clothes – What do I wear? There is no special ‘kit’ needed for Pilates. Please wear clothes that are comfortable and that allow you to move freely. Tracksuit bottoms or leggings and t-shirts or fitness tops are fine. As Pilates involves focusing on your alignment, it is generally easier for me to see what is happening and make corrections (if necessary), if your clothing is closer fitting, however the most important thing is for you to be comfortable. Shoes or trainers are not necessary – all exercises can be done either barefoot or wearing socks. |

Equipment Mats will be provided but if you have your own then please feel free to use it. If you have a yoga mat that you would like to use then please bring it along, but be aware that for some movements the support that a yoga mat gives you may be insufficient, so you may need to ‘double up’ your mat with one provided. Please do bring with you a hand-towel that can be rolled up and used as additional support if needed. |
